About Ms. Moreno

Dendi Moreno was raised in West Jordan. She earned a Spanish departmental scholarship from the University of Utah for her bachelor’s degree and earned a scholarship to study abroad in Mexico for a term. She graduated from the University of Utah in secondary education with a major in Spanish and a minor in math.

She has lived and taught in Utah, Texas, Guam, Spain, and Italy. In 2005 she moved back to Utah, renewed her teaching certification and taught Spanish and math for eight years.

“I am eager help make Spanish a great experience for students,” she said. “Most of the class will be conducted in Spanish. Students will be engaged in a variety of experiences that will improve their listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills in the Spanish language. Students will be finding connections to their other subjects through arts and crafts, music, technology, and theater, just to name a few.”

Favorite Performance Character Trait: Curiosity & Creativity

“I have always been curious about cultures and languages. I love to learn new things,” she said. “I also love to think of creative ways to teach usually boring things and make them fun. I think these qualities add to who I am as a teacher.”
