About Ms. Kartchner

Ms. Kartchner earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Westminster College, her K-12 special education certificate from Utah State University, and her master’s degree in educational leadership from Western Governors University. She served as assistant head of school at Channing Hall in Draper and was previously their director of special education. Ms. Kartchner has also taught special education at Connections Academy in Bountiful and West Hills Middle School in West Jordan.

She says there is nothing more exciting than seeing students make progress. She has taught at both the elementary and middle school levels and can’t decide which she loves more.

Ms. Kartchner is a life-long resident of Utah with two children. She loves to spend time in the mountains, run, swim, read, and road trip. One fun fact she shared about herself is that both of her children surpassed her height by the time they were in fourth grade. She says she’s “small but mighty” and looking forward to being a committed and successful leader who provides direction and purpose to shape a positive school culture.
