About Ms. Anderson
Morgan Anderson graduated from Utah State University in education and has worked in the classroom for eight years. During this time, she worked with several charter schools in helping develop their programs and has personally worked in first through eighth-grade classrooms. “This is my eighth year in education, and I have loved teaching history and English, but more importantly, I love building relationships with my students,” she said.
“My favorite part of teaching at Athlos are my students! I have had some amazing students during my years here, and they honestly are the reason why I come to work each day,” she said.
Favorite Performance Character Trait
“I love optimism!” said Anderson. “The only way I have been able to get to where I am today is because of optimism. Thinking positive about hard situations is the only way to get through life and come out on top.”
“I’ve had some hard experiences in education, and one of the reasons why I still love my job and the people I work with is because I know that if I think about challenges as small hurdles and not large obstacles, I’ll always overcome them. Many times throughout the day I find myself saying to myself and others around me, ‘Today is the best day ever.’ By saying this simple phrase, I’ve caught myself appreciating the good in all moments of the day.”

Q: What are three things most people don’t know about you?
- Most people know that I love to watch movies, but weirdly enough, I get extremely scared easily. I jump at almost every moment and scream at almost everything, because I’m unquestionably scared all the time.
- It’s no secret that I love the outdoors, but many people don’t know that I love gardening and yard work. When I purchased a house, the first thing I wanted to work on was the yard.
- I got my love of painting and talent from my grandma, who was an amazing painter.
