About Ms. Ellermeier

Susan Ellermeier spent 25 years in the corporate world working in sales and marketing for several software companies. She often taught adults and found that she had a real talent for teaching. Ellermeier gained her teacher training in the train the trainer program before teaching third grade.

With her teaching license and in her second year of teaching, Ellermeier feels she has found her true passion in life. “Helping kids succeed in education is more than just books,” she said. “I can teach them about real-world applications to what they are learning.”

Favorite Performance Character Trait: Integrity

“Integrity means doing the right thing when no one else is watching,” Ellermeier said, “This applies to so many areas of our lives. It shapes who we are and what we stand for, kids have to learn not only academics but how to live productive lives, become part of a community –integrity is critical to that.”

Fun Facts about Ms. Ellermeier

Q: What are some things about you most people don’t know?

  • I have 12 animals – mostly reptiles, but I love all animals and welcome any opportunity to bring them into the classroom.
  • One of my favorite trips was to Guatemala where we worked with families that live in extreme poverty to create businesses that can help lift them out of poverty.
  • I am married with an 11-year-old daughter and a 15-year-old stepson.
