HERRIMAN, Utah (KUTV) — Students at Athlos Academy in Herriman are filling numerous shelves at the Utah Food Bank after dropping off nearly 3,000 pounds of non-perishable food Thursday.
Running from December 2 to 13, it’s the school’s 4th annual food drive netting 2,932 pounds of goods.
Athlos Food Drive Organizer Jessica Winward says:
“We are extremely proud of our students for all of the hard work they have put in this holiday season to fight hunger in our community. Service is an essential part of Athlos and we look forward to helping our neighbors again in the future.”
Athlos Academy is a tuition-free public charter school with the mission to:
“…provide a comprehensive education to shape well-balanced and healthy students. The Athlos model is built on the three foundational pillars: Prepared Mind, Healthy Body, and Performance Character.”
