About Kristy Skinner Perkins
Kristy graduated with a Bachelors degree from BYU, after college, she moved to Texas where she taught preschool ELL kids for 6 years. Following her relocation to Utah, she embarked on a career as a paraprofessional in both the classroom and SPED department. Nonetheless, her determination to further enhance her skills led her to recently complete her TESOL certification with great excitement, paving the way for teaching ELL students.
Kristy’s exceptional attribute is her enduring understanding and compassion towards international students, while her aspiration is to aid every ELL students in attaining proficiency in English, and ensuring that they become fluent in spoken and written English. She was drawn to the Athlos Model because of the focus on Athletics and movement and how Athlos caters to the need of their students.
Every year, Kristy always looks forward to being with the kids and seeing them learn and grow, especially being able to witness their progress and overall growth in the English language.
