About the Board
Benj Heuston – Board Chair
Benjamin Hyink served as the Board Vice Chair of the Athlos Academy of Utah governing board prior to becoming Board Chair in 2022. Heuston has served on the board since August of 2021 and also serves on the Governance Committee and School LAND Trust Committee.
Jared Jensen– Vice Chair
Jared Jensen started on the board in 2021, and was elected as Vice Chair in 2022. He has served as Governance Committee Chair of the Athlos Academy of Utah governing and also serves on the School LAND Trust Committee.
Lori Aguilar – Secretary
Lori Aguilar was elected to the board in 2022 and serves as Board Secretary. She is also a member of the Athlos Academy of Utah Pillars Committee, Finance Committee, and School LAND Trust Committee.
Ashley Santillana – Treasurer
Ashley Santillana was elected to the Athlos Academy of Utah Board in 2022. She serves as the Board Treasurer, and chairs the Finance Committee. Ashley is also a member of the School LAND Trust Committee.
Amber Wade
Amber Wade recently served as the secretary and is also the Chair of the Athlos Academy of Utah Pillars Committee. She has served on the board since November of 2020. and is also on the School LAND Trust Committee.
Ms. Wade is active in the Athlos school community and was president and founding member of the Athlos Academy of Utah PTO in 2015.
Amber is passionate about teaching. She spent several years as an adjunct faculty member at Utah Valley University teaching courses including composition, writing, dance, and production and lighting design. She also taught history at the high school level for seven years. In addition to her academic teaching, she also is very involved in teaching and directing dance and theatre.
