Spreading kindness is important to the students at Athlos Academy of Utah and we are proud to announce fourth-grader Nala Alton as the winner of the first annual Kindness Poster Contest! As her prize, Nala receives a Kindle tablet!
Nala said the idea for the poster came to her over dinner with her Grandma.
“I just figured, my brother loves tacos and so I just thought about the phrase, ‘how do we taco about kindness’,” she said. “We had tacos for dinner that night and it just came to me. It’s funny how that happens.”
The Kindness Poster Contest was created to help students recognize the destructiveness of behavior like bullying. It also reinforces Athlos Academy’s Performance Character traits like Leadership, Integrity, Social Intelligence, Creativity and Courage.
Last month, each grade at Athlos Academy of Utah held its own Kindness mini-poster contest, then the winning entries from each grade were considered for first place.
