Enrollment Process

Thank you for your interest in Athlos Academy of Utah. We are a tuition-free, public charter school located in Herriman. We currently serve students in grades K–8 living in Herriman and the surrounding communities.

We are accepting enrollment applications for the current school year in grades K–8, as well as enrollment applications for the upcoming 2019–2020 school year for K–9. (With the addition of 9th grade, our middle school will become a junior high.)

Current 2018–2019 School Year

We are accepting applications for the current school year. Submit an online application and check your email for an offer or wait list notification.

Our lottery for the 2018–2019 school year was held in February 2018. When you submit an application after the lottery has taken place, you will be offered a seat on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Upcoming 2019–2020 School Year

OPEN ENROLLMENT

  • The open enrollment period for the 2019–2020 school year begins on January 10, 2019.
  • For the best chance of enrollment, submit your student’s application before the enrollment period ends on February 12, 2019.
  • If you submit your application after the enrollment period ends on February 12, 2019, your student will be offered a seat on a first-come, first-serve basis.

WHO CAN ENROLL

  • Enrollment is open to new students entering grades K–9 living in Herriman and the surrounding communities.

LOTTERY

  • If there are more applications than available seats, a lottery will be held on February 13, 2019.
  • We will begin sending lottery notifications to families shortly after the lottery takes place. You will either receive an offer letter or a notification of wait list. Watch your email closely so you do not miss a notification.
  • Students may still apply for enrollment after the lottery.

Athlos Academy holds an annual open enrollment period every year. Submitting an application makes your student eligible for a seat according to the school’s policy and state law; it does not guarantee your student a seat.

Athos Academy of Utah is held accountable to all state enrollment laws. According to the school’s enrollment policy, all applications for enrollment will be subject to a lottery admissions process (See Student Policy 5102 for more information).

Current 2018–2019 School Year

If you receive an enrollment offer, you will be given a date when you must accept or decline your offer before it expires.

Upcoming 2019–2020 School Year

If you receive an enrollment offer, you have two business days to accept it before it is no longer valid. Keep an eye out for email notifications regarding this important deadline. Reminders will be shared on the school’s Facebook page.

Current 2018–2019 School Year | Upcoming 2019–2020 School Year

After you accept your offer, there is still a third step to assure your student’s seat is secured. In order for your student to be fully enrolled, you must fill out the online Student Registration Form provided by email. Registration deadline reminders will be emailed and shared on the school’s Facebook page.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

In addition to completing the registration form, you must turn in the following required registration documents: child’s birth certificate, child’s immunization records, and proof of Utah residency.
